ONE DAY CHENGDU — Illustration & Coffee Workshop at Dazhongxiao Coffee Now Studio

Tell an illustrator about your Chengdu (a mood, a building, a smell, a person) and take home an illustration drawn just for you. Meanwhile, smell and touch Sichuan flavours like jasmine tea and Sichuan pepper, then taste three signature coffees made from them.
- A creative hand-drawn portrait
- A taste of local Sichuan flavours
- A signature coffee tasting
In this workshop, an illustrator draws your own picture of Chengdu, and a barista makes three coffees from the Sichuan flavours you've just smelled and touched.
Welcome to Dazhongxiao Coffee Now Studio, a shop run by an illustrator, Bolo, and a barista, Wanzi. The theme of this workshop is "ONE DAY CHENGDU".
Tell Bolo your impressions of Chengdu, and Bolo will draw a doodle that is yours alone. You can describe your mood, a particular building, a smell you noticed, the people you met — anything at all.
While Bolo draws, Wanzi will introduce you to some flavours unique to Sichuan, such as jasmine tea and Sichuan pepper, so you can get to know their aroma and texture. The ingredients you've seen and smelled then become the flavour source for this session's three signature coffees, which you'll make and taste together.
By the end, your one-of-a-kind doodle will be finished too. We hope you have a wonderful time at the workshop!
Itinerary
- 1
Dazhongxiao Coffee Now Studio is run by two people: Bolo, an illustrator, and Wanzi, a barista. This workshop is called ONE DAY CHENGDU, and it starts with you telling Bolo what Chengdu has been like for you.
- 2
Tell Bolo whatever comes to mind: how you're feeling, a building you saw, something you smelled, someone you met. Bolo will turn it into an illustration that belongs to you alone.
- 3
While Bolo draws, Wanzi will introduce you to flavours from Sichuan, such as jasmine tea and Sichuan pepper. You'll smell each one and feel it in your hand.
- 4
Wanzi will then use the ingredients you've seen and smelled as the flavour base for the day's three signature coffees. You'll watch them being made, then taste them together.
- 5
By the time you've finished your coffees, Bolo will have finished your illustration, and it's yours to take home. We hope you have fun. Until next time!
