Welcome to the 'Brushstrokes of China' cultural journey! This is far more than just a calligraphy class; it is a cross-millennial cultural meditation. We will guide you through the magnificent Three Kingdoms era and the legendary tales of Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei. After an illuminating historical introduction, you will completely immerse yourself in a 2-hour session of traditional brush and ink. Experience the unique rhythm, balance, and harmony of Chinese characters on antique-style rice paper, and take home your own completed calligraphy masterpiece in an exquisite frame.
Begin with the captivating historical narratives surrounding Chengdu’s famed Wuhou Shrine. Discover the profound harmony of literature and stone-carving calligraphy in the ancient "Sanjue Stele" (Three Perfections Stele), and understand the cultural depth, spiritual energy, and heroic ideals woven into Chinese scripts.
Under the warm and patient guidance of our master instructor, start with the fundamentals of holding the soft brush and practicing basic strokes. We celebrate the joy, flow, and spirit of writing rather than rigid technical perfection. You will write iconic characters representing Chengdu’s heritage—such as 'Shu' (蜀) or 'Han' (汉)—on premium handmade rice paper adorned with traditional Chengdu Shu brocade motifs. It is not just an artistic lesson, but a deeply therapeutic mindfulness experience.
Once your piece is finished and dried, we will professionally mount it in a delicate wooden frame. Your artwork, carrying authentic Oriental aesthetics and your personal creative touch, will become an unforgettable travel treasure to display proudly at home.
